Programmed Skilled Workforce is currently seeking an enthusiastic and organised Duty Officer to join the client services team at a vibrant Gold Coast Recreation Centre.
This dynamic venue operates seven days a week and delivers facilities and services across both a community leisure centre and residential accommodation setting. The precinct hosts a diverse range of activities and events for school groups, community organisations, and sporting teams.
As a Duty Officer, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality experience for all visitors. This position suits a proactive individual with strong customer service skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate group arrivals and departures, including client inductions and feedback collection
- Oversee daily operations, including staff coordination, meal service support, facility set-up and pack-down, and general cleaning requirements
- Perform administrative and reception duties, including point of sale transactions
- Assist the Venue Services Coordinator with bookings and staff rostering
- Support the delivery of small and large-scale events
- Lead and respond to emergency and incident situations in line with procedures
About You:
- Previous experience in a similar role within tourism, recreation, or hospitality (preferred, but not essential)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- A positive, proactive approach to customer service
Mandatory Requirements:
- Current Blue Card (must be obtained prior to commencement)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
